Virgin will tell you that it is using an innocent salute as a symbol for its Big Red Internet business Ethernet service launched today, but it looks kind of defiant this morning, thrust through the pavement in Canary Wharf.
A two-fingered salute can mean many things, including V-for-victory, and probably V-for-Virgin, but it means something when directed at others. This morning, Virgin celebrated the launch of its business Ethernet service with a massive gesture thrust upwards in London’s business district.
While Virgin says it’s about “working without restrictions”, we can’t help thinking it’s sending a message to other service providers.
How big is the hand? It’s not obvious from this picture, but Virgin Media Business has a twitter competition. Guess the right height and tweat it with @vmbusiness and you could win a Virgin Experience Day – whatever that may be.
