Videos Of Motorola Droid 3 Surface Online

The Motorola Droid 3 smartphone seems to offer a polished user experience, after it was caught in action by three video demonstrations from a German blog.

PhonePads offered this overview video of the Motorola phone, known outside the United States as the Motorola Milestone 3. The video shows users what the buttons do, including how to power the phone on and off and how to put it to sleep and wake the gadget up.

The left side of the phone has the requisite microSD port to charge the phone and an HDMI port to flash media content on larger computer screens or TVs.

New Handset

The rear of the device sports an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and capturing HD video in 1080p. The previous Droids used a 5-megapixel camera.

Like the previous Droid and Droid 2, the handset has a touch screen and slide-out, five-row QWERTY keyboard for people who prefer typing the old-fashioned way.

However, unlike those predecessors, the Droid 3 sports a separate row for numbers “for easy, on-the-go messaging,” according to this video. This video shows users how to access their contacts on the Droid 3.

It’s unclear what kind of screen the Droid 3 features, but our guess is it is a quarter high-definition display, possibly 4 or 4.3 inches, compared to the 3.7-inch screens its cousins featured.

Gingerbread OS

Also, the handset runs Motoblur. As for the OS, we’re guessing that it will be Android 2.3 “Gingerbread,” considering that the Droid 2 came with Froyo. Anything less would be a disappointment.

Motorola is busy these days. The company is revamping its Droid Bionic 4G smartphone for a summer launch on Verizon Wireless. Unwired View believes this is the new and improved Droid Bionic.

Motorola is also co-hosting a launch event in New York City with Sprint 9 June.
