Our friends in Italy have had a chat on camera with Marine Core Baillais who represents Sculpteo 3D – an unusual Internet company that could take 3D printing to the masses.
The video comes fresh from the Milan International Design Week, which started on Tuesday.
Sculpteo has a website, and even an iOS app, which can be used to design “your own, personalised and unique objects” and order to have them printed in less time than it takes to put on a cup of tea. The company has developed online 3D tools and workshops to give users the best 3D printing results.
Enthusiasts can even open their own store in Sculpteo 3D marketplace, and start selling their designs. To demonstrate the process, Marine shows how easy it is to create a mug with someone’s face cut in it.
