Twitter has confirmed that TweetDeck versions for Adobe AIR, Android and iPhone will be removed from their respective app stores and will no longer function from 7 May.
The plans were first revealed earlier this year, but an exact date had not been provided. The company has also confirmed that Facebook integration will end on the same day.
Twitter says that the closure of the three clients is part of its plan to focus attention on development of the web-based version of TweetDeck.
Twitter has also increased its investment in its mobile applications and released new versions as recently as March.
The micro-blogging service said that the closures will not affect the majority of users, but has apologised to those who continue to use the condemned clients.
Twitter acquired British startup TweetDeck in May 2011 for £25 million and has slowly made moves to integrate the application into its own operations. Earlier this year TweetDeck was sent a warning of imminent closure after Twitter failed to renew its registration at Companies House in the UK, however it is believed that this was a deliberate move to bring the subsidiary under its wing.
Last week, Twitter made a new feature available to advertisers that will let them target promoted tweets based solely on keywords.
