Intellect, the UK technology trade association, has signed up as a main partner for the Tech Success Awards, launched by TechWeekEurope earlier this year.
Intellect will promote the Tech Success Awards which will celebrate outstanding achievements across the technolgy industry, looking in particular for projects that capitalise on new possibilities provided by technologies such as cloud computing, Big Data, open source and mobile devices.
Instead of focusing on products and services, the Tech Success Awards aim to recognise projects, where IT departments have delivered great services and added value to their company through using new technologies.
Intellect will help to judge the awards, bringing vast knowledge and expertise to the panel, as well as a deep understanding of the industry. The association represents the views of industry to government and regulators, giving them a chance to interact on key policy and market issues.
New entries are welcome for the awards until the closing date of 19 October. The contest will be judged by a panel including panel including TechWeekEurope editor Peter Judge, deputy Tom Brewster, QuoCirca analyst Clive Longbottom, founder of the Open Source Consortium Mark Taylor, Liam Newcombe of Romonet and the BCS Data Centre Specialist Group, amongst other industry luminaries. The results will be revealed later in the year.
To be eligible your project should be live, should have been delivered in the UK since May 2011, and should fit one or more of the following categories:
