Tech Success Awards 2013 Are Open

TechWeekEurope‘s Tech Success Awards 2013 are now open as we start this year’s search for the most innovating end user IT projects in Britain.

Our Tech Success Awards honour CIOs and IT managers with successful projects which must be live, and have been delivered in the UK since May 2012. The closing date this year is 15th September and winners will be announced in November.

Success factors

Recent research by TechWeekEurope suggests that Britain’s tech organisations are working creatively with small budgets, and see their greatest strengths in integrating solutions together.

As in previous years, we have several categories, and entrants are welcome to apply for multiple awards – and all entrants are eligible for the overall Innovation award. There is no charge for entrance.

This year’s categories are:

– Cloud

– Big Data

– Mobile/BYOD

– Security

– Green/Efficient

– Open Source

– Public Sector

– Innovation

This year, Tech Success partners include Nimbus Ninety, a business and technology community focussing on cloud computing and Big Data, as well as Intellect, a membership organisation that represents the collective voice of the UK technology industry.

This year we welcome Incisor, a monthly electronic magazine and video production firm that looks at short range wireless technology.

The 2013 judges include TechWeekEurope UK editor Peter Judge and deputy editor Tom Brewster, as well as Ian Osborne, project director at Intellect, Clive Longbottom, co-founder at analyst QuoCirca, Liam Newcombe, technical director at green IT company Romonet and Mark Taylor, CEO at open source specialist Sirius, Vince Holton, owner of Incisor TV and Mark Young, editor at Nimbus Ninety.

Last year the first Tech Success awards honoured IT staff in the UK who created innovative projects that benefitted their organisations. Winners included Jaguar Land Rover, Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust (CHUFT), and Cadoxton primary school in Wales. All of them used technology in new ways that showed how IT can help any organisation perform better.

There are opportunities to get involved through partnership and sponsorhip. For more information please contact awards@netmediaeurope.com.
