Samsung To Reveal Galaxy SIII On 3 May?
Samsung sends out invites for new Galaxy device announcement
Samsung has begun sending out invitations for an event at London’s Earl’s Court next month to announce a new device in its Galaxy range.
The announcement is expected to concern the successor to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy SII smartphone, which has sold more than 10 million units worldwide and contributed to Samsung breaking its own record by selling more than 300 million handsets in 2011.

The invitation discloses the location of the announcement and reads, “Come and meet the next Galaxy.” Samsung has not confirmed whether the new device will be a smartphone or tablet, but given that it has already recently announced the Galaxy Tab 2, and has released the Galaxy Note, the signs point to it being a phone.
The Korean manufacturer has previously stated that the successor to its popular Galaxy SII smartphone would make its debut in the first half of 2012, but last month denied rumours that it would be released in April. Although the existence of such a device has been confirmed, a name has not been disclosed and the smartphone was conspicuous by its absence from Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona earlier this year.
At MWC, the company did unveil the Samsung Galaxy Beam, a projector phone capable of displaying a 50-inch high-definition image and released the Samsung Galaxy Nexus the first Android smartphone to run version 4.0 of the mobile operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich, last November.
