At the beginning of the year, I made the switch to the Mac environment. The process was akin to learning to write left-handed (I’m a righty).

Many of the demonstrations, for example, how to turn off the computer, start by showing how this task is performed on a Windows system, and then the same procedure is performed on the Mac. Experienced PC users who want to become bilingual by learning the Mac platform will gain a tremendous amount of insider knowledge by using the training materials. The lessons are short enough to be engaging while also making sure to show enough useful information to get tasks done, such as configuring Expose and Spotlight.

The presentation material is usually straightforward, although the on-screen talent can’t seem to help but interject a little chuckle when explaining the similarities and differences between Windows Update and the Mac Software Update.
