Nokia To Debut Lumia 1520 And Windows RT Tablet On 26 September – Reports
Nokia Lumia 1520 to be the largest Windows Phone device to date
Various reports are suggesting Nokia – in the process of becoming a Microsoft subsidiary – will unveil a 6-inch Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet and a 10.1-inch Windows RT tablet at an event on 26 September.
A message on the @evleaks Twitter account simply reads “Nokia Lumia 1520: launches 9/26”. Evleaks does not reveal its source but it has leaked accurate information and release dates about various smartphones and tablets in the past.
It would be the largest Windows Phone device released to date and rumours indicate it will boast a polycarbonate body similar to other smartphones in the Lumia range, have a 16 megapixel camera and be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Adding strength to the rumours are separate reports that Nokia will announce a Windows RT-based tablet on the same day. Images purporting to be the device emerged on a Chinese website earlier this month, claiming an event would be held in New York later this month and another image has now been posted on Paul Thurrott’s WinSuperSite.
The 10.1-inch tablet is apparently code-named Vanquish and will be powered by a 2.15GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 32 GB of storage while it will also have a removable keyboard.
The Finnish manufacturer’s most recent announcement concerned the Nokia Lumia 1020, an image-focused smartphone boasting a 41 megapixel camera. It was announced last week that Microsoft is to buy Nokia’s hardware and service unit for £4.6 billion.
Nokia’s new parent company is also expected to launch a Windows RT tablet next month, the Microsoft Surface 2.
