ViewSonic has expanded its ViewPad portfolio with a new 7-inch and 10-inch tablets.
The company’s ViewPad line, which consists of the ViewPad 10e, the ViewPad 7e and the ViewPad 10Pro, will be further expanded with the ViewPad models E70/G70 and E100/P100.
The ViewPad G70 employs the latest Android 4 OS and offers the ViewScene 3D interface, which enables access to all the G70 features and functions, including 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as mini HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), micro USB and mini USB for connecting to a variety of external USB devices.
The 1GB RAM and 4GB storage provides room for personal apps and data and is expandable up to 32GB using the integrated MicroSD card slot. The G70 incorporates a 1,024 by 600 resolution display with a multi-touch capacitive screen with a 2MP rear camera or the 0.3MP front camera for video communication. In addition, full Google Mobile Services certification gives the ViewPad G70 access to applications on Android Market and with GPS/AGPS functionality.
The ViewPad E70 7-inch tablet features Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, lightweight compact design and the ViewScene 3D interface. The tablet ships with a 1GHz processor and 4GB memory storage. Other features include a front-facing camera, Wi-Fi support and Micro SD expandable storage up to 32GB.
ViewSonic’s E100 is to be announced for the first time at MWC. It boasts the Android 4.0 OS with support for Adobe flash and ViewScene 3D interface. Equipped with a 9.7-inch 1,024 by 768 resolution, IPS display with LED backlights and 1GHz Cortex processor, the E100 offers wide viewing angles and features Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, HDMI, USB and MicroSD support with a 3G version available for full wireless access when on the move. The E100 has a recommend price of sub $399 (£252) for WiFi and sub $499 (£315) for 3G, and launches in the second quarter.

Finally, the ViewPad 10e is designed as ViewSonic’s power-efficient model; it delivers more than 200 hours of standby life. Measuring just 9.1mm thin, the 9.7-inch enhanced, multi-viewing IPS display can also serve as an ebook, movie-viewing and game-playing device.
The tablet also includes Android applications, such as the Amazon Kindle Reader and the 1Mobile market, which provides access to thousands of free apps and games. Running Android 2.3, upgradable to Android 4 and a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, the ViewPad 10e also includes the ViewScene 3D interface. The ViewPad 10e (Wi-Fi) has a recommended price of sub $369 (£233) and sub $449 (£283) for the 3G version. The tablet is available now with Wi-Fi capability, with a 3G-capable version debuting in April.
