Infosys To Provide IT Services To Oil And Gas Firm BP

New five-year, group-wide strategic supplier agreement expands decade-long partnership between BP and Infosys.

BP has selected Infosys, a specialist in consulting, technology and outsourcing solutions, to provide IT services including Application Support and Development.

Improving business

Infosys was chosen to support the multinational oil and gas company in running, enhancing and developing business applications, as well as improving business IT processes across all key BP IT operations.

BP centreThe agreement, which is effective as of September 1, 2014, will provide IT services across BP’s operations, including corporate functions, upstream and downstream segments, energy trading and marketing. The agreement’s geographical scope includes BP’s main facilities in the UK and Houston, Texas, as well as support in locations as diverse as Azerbaijan, Angola, Brazil and Singapore.

Central to these services, Infosys will also continue to invest in the Infosys Information Systems and Technology University. This academy provides training to Infosys engineers in industry knowledge, technology systems, BP processes and key applications.
