eWEEK Europe Launches iPhone App

eWEEK Europe has launched an iPhone app which delivers our UK content to Apple’s mobile devices, including the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad.
The app, available for free in Apple’s App Store, presents news stories and opinion from the UK site, in a form tailored for the iPhone’s touchscreen.

The eWEEK Europe app includes the ability to forward stories by email or post them onto social media, including Twitter and Facebook. It also lets the user join in the conversation by adding comments to the stories on the site.
The app was created for us by DuoApps, a French developer which has also made other media apps, including one which offers live coverage of the Ariane space programme.
We’re excited by the app, and made a decision to get it in use as quickly as possible. Like everything we do, it is interactive, and we aim to keep improving it. So if you see any way it could be improved, please let us know.
Our app runs on devices that have the iPhone OS 3.0 or later, and it needs 0.5MB to run.
