Who is eligible to enter the contest? UK only, Europe only? Worldwide? Any restrictions on what the gadget does? Do all the parts have to come from RS Components? How long do we have to build it after the contest ends?
Hi there,
Thank you for your questions and feedback.
The competition is running worldwide. There’s no restrictions as long as the gadget is somehow connected to an office environment, feel free to go as creative as you like. Not all parts need to come from RS Components, but please include some. The time it takes the winner to build the project depends on the complexity of the project, and will be agreed after the announcement.
I hope this helps!
Max, the competition is running worldwide, but non-UK residents can't seem to register on uk.rs-online.com so we can't create a shopping list... ideas?
A brilliant entry in the competition: "iPIckU, a RaspberryPi based device to help you pick a volunteer for the job that nobody wants." http://botbench.com/blog/2013/05/17/techweek-competition-entry/
What about a Raspberry Pi/Arduino based cloud control panel, interfacing with Heroku and statistics monitoring services to visualise load/dyno count and give you lovely turny dials to "dial down the dynos!"

If you are not a winner, will you still be notified? Also what time will the winner be announced?
Who won?!
