Software firm Pegasystems has unveiled Pega 7 Express, which aims to simplify the design and development experience of its Pega 7 Platform to allow business and IT users to get started quickly without formal training.
Pega 7 Express, being demoed for the first time at PegaWORLD in Orlando this week, will be available as a 30-day free trial sandbox, and is powered by Pega Cloud.
With Pega 7 Express, users can build, test, and prototype straightforward business applications on the Pega 7 Platform, the same software used in enterprise-wide, transformational deployments by the Global 2000. Since Pega 7 Express is a core part of the Pega 7 Platform, applications built in Pega 7 Express can evolve to take advantage of the full functionality of Pega 7.
Pega 7 can be deployed in the cloud or on-premises. According to an independent study by Capgemini, Pega 7 allows companies to deploy changes eight times faster than traditional Java based applications. Pegasystems said its latest visual tools enable businesses to easily extend and change the application to meet their strategic business needs without coding. Pega’s scalability ensures the application operates across the ever-changing needs of users, business lines, geographies, and channels that today’s enterprises demand, the firm added. Based on these capabilities, enterprises can automatically adapt to different regions, products, customers, and employees for each and every interaction.
Kerim Akgonul, senior vice president, Pegasystems, said: “We’re excited to launch Pega 7 Express to expose the power of our unified platform to a broad set of users. Through this trial, users can quickly experience the potential of Pega 7, designed to build and evolve enterprise applications that meet the complex and changing needs of large organisations.”
Interested users can sign-up today to get an invitation to try Pega 7 Express when it is broadly available through the Pega Developer Network (PDN) in Q3 2015.
