WiSA Association, a subsidiary of WiSA Technologies, Inc. (“WiSA Technologies,” “WiSA” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: WISA), which anticipates closing its acquisition of Datavault® intellectual property and information technology assets of privately held Data Vault Holdings Inc.® and changing its name to Datavault Inc. and ticker symbol to ADIO in January 2025, announces the launch of three innovative reference designs, three new mobile applications, and the SoundSend E transmitter in 2025. These technologies are designed to offer partner brands and consumers greater versatility, increased functionality, and enhanced ease of implementation and use. WiSA will demonstrate these groundbreaking innovations at its CES suite at the Venetian.

Next-Generation Reference Designs for Wireless Audio Based on WiSA E Technology

WiSA will debut its newly developed WiSA E-based reference designs: the “Player1” wireless audio transmitter platform, the “Dragon” powered receiver platform, and the “Pegasus” passive receiver platform. These reference designs empower WiSA Association members to quickly and efficiently create branded wireless audio products, expand their product offerings, or bring legacy systems into the wireless home theater ecosystem.

“Our goal is to help brands bring exciting new solutions to market,” said Tony Ostrom, president of the WiSA Association. “These platforms simplify connectivity and interoperability, making it easier to integrate legacy products and develop innovative audio systems.”

  • Player1: A streamlined transmitter reference design that connects to modern TVs via HDMI and wirelessly transmits decoded PCM audio to WiSA E-certified speakers.

  • Dragon and Pegasus: Powered and passive wireless receiver platforms designed for compatibility with a variety of speaker types to create wireless multichannel audio systems.

All three reference designs feature WiSA E technology for seamless certification and interoperability, supporting any WiSA E-certified component and integrating effortlessly with the WiSA Connect app for enhanced control and management.

Revolutionary Mobile Apps for Certification, Connection, and Management

To further enhance the WiSA E ecosystem, WiSA is launching three cutting-edge mobile applications:

  • WiSA Certification App: Streamlines product development and certification for WiSA E technology, ensuring seamless interoperability.

  • WiSA Express App: Simplifies the connection of TVs and other sources to WiSA E-certified speakers, making TVs the centerpiece of the home entertainment system.

  • WiSA Connect App: Manages device setup, system configuration, and user control, including the new SoundSend E transmitter.

“Our apps make system setup, device control, and certification processes more intuitive than ever,” Ostrom said. “These tools are designed to simplify every aspect of the WiSA E experience for both consumers and industry partners.”

SoundSend E: The Future of Wireless Audio

WiSA also unveiled the SoundSend E, a groundbreaking successor to its award-winning wireless audio transmitter. Built on WiSA E technology, SoundSend E introduces expanded connectivity, Dolby Atmos decoding, and integration with the WiSA Connect app for a seamless user experience.

“With full audio system set-up and control, enhanced DSP, and Bluetooth audio input, SoundSend E redefines wireless home audio,” Ostrom said. “SoundSend E offers unparalleled versatility and performance for connecting modern TVs to WiSA E-certified speakers.”

Key features include:

  • Connectivity: HDMI ARC/eARC, optical, and Bluetooth audio inputs.

  • Performance: Upgraded DSP for superior audio quality.

  • Ease of Use: Automatic detection of WiSA E-certified speakers and integration with the WiSA Connect app for unified control.

WiSA at CES 2025

WiSA Technologies and the WiSA Association will showcase all these innovations at CES 2025, taking place from January 7–10 at their suite at Venetian. Attendees can experience live demonstrations of the WiSA E platforms, mobile apps, SoundSend E, and new products featuring WiSA E technology.
