TCP Software, a leading provider of time, attendance, and employee scheduling solutions, today announced that automated time and attendance solution TimeClock Plus has successfully achieved Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) Level 2 certification.

The Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) provides a standardized security assessment, certification, and continuous monitoring protocol for cloud service providers. As a certified solution, TimeClock Plus has been vetted and proven to comply with these stringent security measures.

“This is an exciting achievement for TCP Software, as it validates the security program of our company and provides another external measure regarding the effectiveness of our controls,” says Jaime Ellis, VP of IT and InfoSec at TCP Software. “TCP customers rely on the security of our products and services and trust TCP with their data. TX-RAMP reaffirms our ongoing investment into the security of our products and our commitment to protect data around our customers’ most important asset: their employees.”

TX-RAMP was formalized by Senate Bill 475. It mandates that Texas state agencies can only work with cloud service providers that can successfully pass NIST-based security assessment (NIST 800-53) by the Texas Department of Information Resources. TX-RAMP applies to all state-funded agencies, including state higher education institutions. TimeClock Plus has been certified through January 30, 2027.
