SureStart, a mission-driven education startup focused on building early opportunity pipelines for a highly diverse tech workforce, will soon travel to the West Coast for the ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, California. Sixteen alumni of SureStart’s signature technical skills training and project-based learning programs will showcase their AI-driven social impact innovations. These “trailblazers-in-the-making” consist of the passionate student winners from the 2021 and 2022 MIT FutureMakers Create-a-Thon programs offered through a collaboration between the MIT RAISE Initiative (Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education) and SureStart.

Over the course of the three day conference, the students will have the opportunity to exhibit their AI projects before a community of global businesses and investors and share their visions for social impact. This student innovation showcase not only enables the students to highlight their emerging technical and entrepreneurial skills, but also to demonstrate the real impact that comes from supporting diverse AI talent with mentorship and amplification.
