Skyhigh Security today announced that it is using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to expand its Points of Presence (POPs) globally and provide top-tier service to its customers. By deploying a growing number of POPs as close to customers as possible, Skyhigh Security is supporting the technological needs of today’s businesses and adapting to the changing demands of a rapidly evolving data and cloud security market. The additional locations and services will minimize data transmission delays, also known as latency, with optimized routing, providing customers the fastest access to cloud services possible.
Skyhigh Security works with multiple cloud and data center providers and has been expanding its POP network for global connectivity across North America, EMEA, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Japan. Over the past year, Skyhigh Security has tripled its POP capacity of infrastructure deployments for multi-national customers, now protecting 10 million nodes via its network of more than 100 POPs. OCI’s global footprint of 46 public cloud regions in 23 countries will enable Skyhigh Security to continue expanding its presence quickly. Skyhigh Security operates POPs on Oracle Cloud regions in Australia, Brazil and India, successfully servicing customer traffic, and will be expanding into additional regions within the coming months.
“With the uptick in remote and hybrid work over the last few years, the locations of our customers’ office headquarters are no longer an accurate indicator of where employees are accessing our infrastructure from around the world,” says Scott Singhass, vice president of Cloud Operations at Skyhigh Security. “With this in mind, we’ve strategically expanded our connection points around the most concentrated areas of end users to enhance their data security experience and meet our commitment to efficiency and innovation.”
“Optimized routing and increased data handling are essential for companies to ensure peak performance for their customers,” says David Hicks, group vice president, Worldwide ISV Cloud Business Development, Oracle. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Skyhigh Security as they grow, scale and support organizations worldwide along their cloud security journey.”
Enterprises across all sectors—from government agencies to financial institutions—look to Skyhigh Security to protect their data across the web, cloud, private apps, emails and endpoints. Its customers include nearly half of the Fortune 100 and more than a third of the Fortune 500.
