Boston-based philanthropic technology company Givinga, Inc. has appointed Growth Capital Investor and Advisor Ron Sachs to their Board of Directors. With an extensive investment management background, Sachs will bring insight and experience to the board as Givinga transitions into a critical growth stage.

“Ron has been an investor in Givinga for well over two years. His insights are candid and insightful, and he will add tremendous value to the existing board, as well as the company,” said Joe Phoenix, co-founder and CEO of Givinga.

Prior to his current position at Winterset Lane, LLC., Sachs was at Janus Capital—now Janus Henderson Group—for seventeen years. He was a portfolio manager for thirteen of those years, where he identified and invested in public companies with sustainable competitive advantages. Before his time at Janus Capital, he was a securities attorney and strategy consultant.

“I am excited to join Givinga’s Board to help the Givinga team continue to innovate and streamline corporate and individual philanthropy. Givinga’s Philantech® platform is a game changer that improves the whole process of giving,” Sachs said.

Givinga helps companies develop modern giving solutions that align with and enhance their corporate strategy. Their philanthropic technology, trademarked Philantech®, powers giving experiences that transform workplace culture, build brand affinity, and cultivate everyday philanthropy. In 2023, the Givinga team will continue to help new and existing clients deliver ROI by maximizing societal and business impact while reducing the cost, time, and complexity of corporate giving.
