Pikkit, the bet tracking app for sports bettors, has unveiled its 2024 “Instant Replay,” a detailed look at the community-wide sports betting trends and performances over the past year. With over 600,000 monthly active users(MAU’S), the platform tracked a record-breaking 323 million bets in 2024, a 48% increase from the previous year, totaling $10.6 billion in tracked wagers—up 77% from 2023.

The NBA was the most popular league among Pikkit users in 2024, followed by MLB and the NFL, while college basketball and NHL rounded out the top five leagues.

  • NBA: 34% of all bets

  • MLB: 22% of all bets

  • NFL: 19% of all bets

  • College Basketball: 6% of all bets

  • NHL: 5% of all bets

In terms of betting types, parlays were the most favored choice, with Same Game Parlays seeing particular popularity among users.

  • Parlays: 50% of all bets (over 160 million parlays tracked)

    • Same Game Parlays: 24% of parlays tracked (nearly 76 million SGP’s tracked)

  • Straight Bets: 45% of all bets (over 144 million straight bets tracked)

  • Round Robins: 5% of all bets (nearly 18 million round robins tracked)

The platform also highlighted its community’s favorite players and teams. In MLB, Shohei Ohtani was the top bet player with approximately 3.4 million bets tracked, while Luka Doncic led the NBA with nearly 6 million bets. NFL fans showed a strong interest in CeeDee Lamb, who topped all players and garnered nearly 2.2 million bets, and Caitlin Clark was a standout in the WNBA, leading all players with over 1 million bets tracked. Among teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Celtics, and Kansas City Chiefs saw the highest betting volumes in their respective leagues, with over 3 million, 2 million, and 1.6 million bets tracked.

Pikkit also revealed some of the most striking moments of the year, including the longest odds parlay win tracked in 2024—a longshot of roughly 271,000 to 1 odds during the Genesis Scottish Open. Additionally, over 44 million parlays were missed by just one leg, representing more than $6.1 billion in potential payouts left on the table.

While these stats represent the community-wide trends and insights, each individual user will also receive their own personalized “Instant Replay” in the app showcasing their unique betting activity and highlights from the past year. This personalized wrap-up provides bettors with a detailed reflection of their 2024 performance and achievements.
