Ryan, a leading global tax services and software provider, recently announced that John Healy has joined the Firm as Principal in the Tax Account Analysis practice. He will be based in Ryan’s Minneapolis, Minnesota office.

With more than 15 years of experience managing tax controversy and tax account matters, John is a tax attorney who has in-depth knowledge of Internal Revenue Service and Minnesota Department of Revenue procedures. Before joining Ryan, he held the position of Senior Manager, National Tax Department at Ernst & Young. His previous public and private sector experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Appeals and Legal Services at the Minnesota Department of Revenue and as Senior Manager, Tax Controversy Services at KPMG. John also served as a Special Trial Attorney with the Internal Revenue Service, litigating the agency’s highest profile tax cases.

John holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from St. John’s University. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law (Tax) at the University of St. Thomas Law School.
