Globalgig, a network platform and connectivity provider for global enterprises, announced today that it has been certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC). As one of the 23 affiliates of the National MSDC, the Southwest MSDC works locally to ensure that MBEs achieve their full potential, with support from the program’s 1,700+ corporate members.
With this new designation, Globalgig joins more than 15,000+ certified businesses as part of the nation’s largest, most impactful, and successful non-profit advocacy organization for Minority Business Enterprises. Certified businesses receive several benefits, including direct access to other MBEs for business opportunities, networking with corporate buyers, and access to educational events and conferences.
Globalgig was co-founded by CEO Ernest Cunningham, who has an established history of entrepreneurship, including being the CEO and founder of One Source Networks, which grew from 0 to $100 million in eight years before being acquired by GTT Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: GTTNQ) in 2015. He also leads a multimillion-dollar real estate holding and management company.
“We are honored and excited to receive the MBE certification,” stated Ernest Cunningham, CEO of Globalgig. “As a minority-led business, we see diversity as an invaluable initiative in supporting communities, business growth and innovation. We look forward to networking with corporate members and supporting and learning from the impressive roster of fellow MBEs.”
Since its founding, Globalgig has been focused on rapidly evolving to meet the needs of its enterprise customers, expanding its service portfolio, team, optimizing processes and launching the latest iteration of its network platform, Orchestra 3.0. This approach has been instrumental in its success, including being named an Inc. 5000 fastest-growing company for four years.
