Energous Corporation d/b/a Energous Wireless Power Solutions (NASDAQ: WATT), a pioneer in scalable, over-the-air wireless power networks (WPNs), today announced it has shipped the first orders of its 2W PowerBridge transmitter system to a Fortune 100 technology company. The Energous transmitters will be the foundation of new WPNs that will deliver always-on, advanced asset tracking capabilities for certain reverse logistics processes at the company’s distribution centers.

Reverse logistics is a critical process in supply chain management that involves recovering products and materials after their use or distribution, and includes activities such as returns management, recycling, refurbishment, and disposal. Digitizing this process with Internet of Things (IoT) technology allows companies to streamline logistics, enabling them to plan efficient routes and networks, speed up operations, proactively plan activities, and anticipate and manage issues before they occur.

The Energous 2W PowerBridge transmitter system delivers continuous access to wireless power, over-the-air and at distance, while enabling a constant stream of real-time data for all IoT-enabled devices in the supply chain, such as sensors and tags. The transmitter features a dual band, dual polarization antenna which enables it to transmit higher radiated power—up to 8W Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP)—and deliver up to 99 percent visibility of all connected devices. This level of visibility enables improved decision-making and traceability of products and materials, while also helping to reduce waste and improve supply chain sustainability.

“The Energous 2W PowerBridge transmitter is a game-changer for companies with complex supply chains, that span multiple tiers of suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers across diverse geographies. With its ability to deliver up to 99 percent visibility for all tracked assets and inventory—without the need for batteries, cables, or wires—our transmitters deliver unparalleled, real-time access to accurate asset locations, from origin to the last mile, reducing losses and improving operational efficiencies,” said Mallorie Burak, Interim Principal Executive Officer and CFO, Energous Wireless Power Solutions.

About Energous PowerBridge Transmitters

Energous PowerBridge transmitter systems are the backbone of WPNs that allow connected devices to continuously provide critical enterprise data to cloud networks, without wires, batteries, or cables, ensuring they are reliably charged at all times. These transmitter systems act as data links for IoT-enabled devices, enabling them to efficiently communicate valuable data and insights back to the cloud, and allowing companies to analyze, optimize, and improve every part of their supply chain operations in real time.

The Energous 2W PowerBridge transmitter system is designed for next-generation, enterprise IoT applications which require power over a distance, providing a WPN that delivers an always on, over-the-air automated energy flow that optimizes IoT device performance. The system’s proprietary antenna design enables it to transmit up to 8W EIRP and dual polarization, delivering up to 99 percent visibility of all connected devices. This makes the Energous 2W transmitter well suited for large-scale industrial applications where inventory tracking and monitoring across multiple zones is critical to operations.
