Covenant Behavioral Health, an integrated healthcare leader serving active-duty personnel, veterans, and their families, received the first grant from Qbtech’s new program, QbAccess. Created to provide non-profit healthcare organizations access to its FDA-cleared objective ADHD testing devices at a reduced rate, QbAccess selected Covenant Behavioral Health to support its holistic, evidence-based approach to delivering the highest quality care to active and retired U.S. military and their loved ones.
Since 2011, Covenant Behavioral Health, a registered 501(c)3 agency, has been committed to serving active-duty military personnel, veterans, their dependents, and the local community through education and integrated care. Staffed with Veteran Ready Certified Providers, Covenant Behavioral Health believes in the power of integrated healthcare and works closely with patients’ primary care providers to improve their overall well-being.
“The demand for ADHD assessments has never been greater. On average, we see nearly 20 patients per day seeking ADHD evaluations,” shared Dr. C. Carl Wilson, CEO of Covenant Behavioral Health. “We are honored to receive this grant from QbAccess and implement Qbtech’s ADHD testing technology into our practice. We firmly believe in evidence-based care and are thrilled to integrate objective measurement into our care model. Adding QbTest to our pathway enables our team to see patients faster and provide clear results to support our diagnoses.”
QbAccess was created to make ADHD testing and management more accessible to underserved populations. The program aims to reduce health disparities by ensuring low-income populations have access to high-quality ADHD evaluation services to improve clinical outcomes. Non-profit healthcare organizations, including Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers (FQHCs) and Tribal Clinics, can apply for grant funding to access Qbtech’s objective ADHD testing technology.
“There’s no organization more deserving than Covenant Behavioral Health to be our first grant recipient for the QbAccess program. The work Dr. Wilson and his team are providing for military families is instrumental in ensuring those who have sacrificed their lives for our country receive high-quality care swiftly,” said Anna Brasile, U.S. Senior Business Development Manager at Qbtech and spearhead of the QbAccess program. “We created this program to reduce barriers to care for ADHD diagnosis and monitoring and are excited to see its impact at Covenant Behavioral Health.”
Qbtech’s ADHD testing technology seamlessly integrates into clinical pathways to facilitate a comprehensive diagnosis and determine treatment effects more accurately and efficiently. Available in-clinic and via telehealth, the tests measure motor activity down to the millimeter and aid in evaluating the core symptoms of ADHD – hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity – through a 15-20-minute computer-based test. Results are instantly presented in a report that compares a patient’s results with an age and sex-at-birth-matched control group without ADHD. The highly visual representation of symptoms, shown as graphs and images on the reports, helps patients see their symptoms clearly, bringing transparency into the diagnostic and treatment management process.
Other non-profit clinics are encouraged to apply at Qbtech’s website to receive funding for their organization, based on eligibility.
