Over the past five years, Compu Dynamics’ annual golf tournament has raised and donated more than $150,000 to support NOVA’s IET programs. The 2024 event saw participation from more than 30 companies, with 150 individuals coming together to support this important mission.

Steve Altizer, president and CEO of Compu Dynamics, expressed his appreciation for the event’s success: “We are thrilled with the overwhelming support from our partners and participants in this year’s golf tournament. By investing in education, we are not only supporting our local community but also helping to build the talent pool crucial for the future of the data center industry. This event exemplifies our commitment to fostering growth and innovation in our field.”

The tournament acts as a unique platform for uniting ecosystem partners and like-minded individuals across various sectors of the data center industry. The participants included representatives from data center owners/operators, hyperscale cloud companies, AI and high-tech computing enterprises, construction companies and infrastructure manufacturers.

“We are proud of and grateful for our robust partnership with Compu Dynamics,” said Kelly Persons, executive director of the NOVA Educational Foundation. “Thanks to their generous and ongoing support, hundreds of high school students from Northern Virginia have visited NOVA’s campuses to participate in IET Career Days. During these events, students explore engineering technology and data center operations programs and have the opportunity to speak directly with professionals in those fields. Compu Dynamics leads by example when it comes to investing to build the future workforce of the data center industry.”

The IET programs at NOVA are instrumental in building the engineering and technical talent pool necessary for data center operators, hyperscale cloud providers and data center solution providers. They offer students the skills needed to succeed in the field and opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials. Through their partnership with NOVA and their digital infrastructure peers, Compu Dynamics aims to foster growth in the industry by investing in and supporting the local community.
