Boingo Wireless has been named a 2023 “Best Places to Work” by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ). Earning the honor for the seventh year, Boingo was recognized for its tech industry leadership, outstanding employee programs and positive impact on the community.
“Boingo is committed to leading the industry with a diverse workforce and best-in-class wireless solutions that serve global enterprises and the U.S. military,” said Boingo Wireless Vice President of Human Resources Tanya Lynch. “It’s an honor to be recognized as a best place to work, and we’re proud that Boingo’s company culture remains a key differentiator in how we do business.”
Boingo designs, builds and manages wireless infrastructure for airports, transit hubs, stadiums, military bases, hospitals and commercial properties. For more than 20 years, Boingo has pioneered wireless innovation with several technology firsts, including the first CBRS private network at a major airport and first Wi-Fi 6 launch at a major airport. This year the company has been globally recognized for its converged, neutral host 5G solutions in the Mobile Breakthrough Awards, Small Cell Forum Industry Awards, Light Reading Leading Lights award program and Wireless Broadband Alliance Industry Awards, among others.
LABJ honored Boingo’s ongoing dedication to employee programs, including its Boingo Unity, Boingo Women and Boingo Veterans employee resource groups (ERGs), hiring and training of veteran talent, and health and wellness events. Through its Boingo Cares initiative, Boingo employees work with local and national nonprofit organizations to make a positive impact in the communities they live in. This includes SEEDS – Access Changes Everything, an organization that prepares highly-motivated students from low-income households for admission to schools and colleges; the National Breast Cancer Foundation; and The Veterans Homes of California which offers affordable long-term care to aged and disabled veterans.
To determine the “Best Places to Work,” companies from across the county entered a two-part survey process. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.
