Austin Peay State University (APSU), one of 37 institutions in the Tennessee Board of Regents system, has selected the YuJa Panorama LMS Accessibility Platform and YuJa Structural Remediation Max to enhance accessibility for its more than 10,000 students. The platforms will be used alongside the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform, which the institution adopted several years ago.

YuJa Panorama is a cloud-based accessibility tool that enables remediation within the D2L Learning Management System to help ensure course content meets accessibility guidelines. It offers an explanation and resources to help designers and instructors correct inaccessible content. Additionally, instructors will benefit from the automatic generation of accessible versions of all uploaded documents, comprehensive reports at the course, instructor, and institution levels, and other tools that help increase accessibility for all learners.

YuJa Structural Remediation Max is an industry-first Remediation Engine that enables instructors to address more complex structural PDF accessibility issues within their learning management system. The platform helps instructors address common PDF accessibility issues, such as structural remediation, missing alt text, heading structures, contrast, tagging, titles, scanned document issues, and more. YuJa Panorama and YuJa Structural Remediation Max help course designers and instructors detect and remediate accessibility issues as they work to bring content into alignment with W3C and WCAG standards.

“APSU is committed to creating an accessible digital learning environment for their students. YuJa Panorama and YuJa Structural Remediation Max will give faculty and instructors the tools they need to help ensure course content is accessible to all students from the moment it’s created,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at YuJa, Inc. “We’ve worked with Austin Peay for several years, and we’re honored they continue to trust our platforms to serve their diverse ed-tech needs.”
