Weekend Sky Bet Website Outage Leaves Customers Frustrated

Sky Bet and Gaming has apologised to customers for a mysterious weekend outage.

The British-based gambling company, owned by Sky and CVC Capital Partners, said it had been made aware of “some problems” with the website and was working to get it up and running as normal again.

Customer update

Although the company was unable to state what had caused to website downtime, it took to Twitter to update customers.

It said: “Our site issues are currently still ongoing. A number of customers should be able to access our site, however some may still be experiencing issues.

“Our technical team are still working hard to make the site available for everyone. We apologise for the inconvenience these issues have caused.”

Furious customers, who had been unable to use the website’s ‘cash out’ facility, asked to be given a free bet for the inconvenience – an idea rejected by Sky Bet.

The company added: “We do appreciate how frustrating these issues must be but we are unable to offer free bets.”

One Twitter user replied to Sky Bet’s Tweets asking: “Can I put £20 on your site working after the Chelsea game?”

Sky Bet had not responded to a request for comment by time of publication.
