Has Sony Leaked The Xperia Z4 Tablet Early?
Shots of super-powered Xperia Z4 tablet come just days before Mobile World Congress launch
Sony may have gotten a little too excited about unveiling its upcoming Xperia Z4 tablet if the release of photos apparently showing the device are anything to go by.
The company appears to have accidentally leaked images of the new tablet through its own Sony Xperia Lounge app last night before quickly removing them.
Confirming a launch date of March 3, the app page (pictured below) showed a more rounded and slimline build than the Z4’s predecessor, the Xperia Z3, with the new ‘lightweight premium’ device also sporting a 2k display, faster processor and greatly improved battery life.
Jumping the gun?
As more information emerges surrounding the device, the Xperia Z4 has quickly become one of the most hotly-anticipated devices of 2015, alongside an accompanying smartphone as Sony looks to take on the likes of Samsung and HTC in the Android device market.
Reports have also claimed the Xperia Z4 will be joined by a supersized ‘Ultra’ version, which will be pumped up to feature a 3840 x 2400 4K display, along with 6GB of RAM and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2.86GHz.
This would put it far ahead of any competing tablet device on the market today, and also boasts a 12,100mAh battery, 64GB of storage, an 8MP camera capable of recording HD video and support for PS4 Remote Play.
