Could The Galaxy View Be Samsung’s Biggest Tablet Yet?

Samsung could be gearing up to launch a super-sized tablet device as it looks to take the fight to Apple’s iPad Pro device, reports have claimed.

Leaked images purporting to show a large tablet sporting a kickstand have appeared on Sammobile, which first suggested such a device was in development back in August.

The images, taken as stills from a promotional video, show an 18.4in device that also sports a front-facing HD camera for high-quality video calls, as well as a built-in kickstand on the back to allow the user to prop it up to watch videos or surf the web without needing to hold it with both hands.

Grand

A larger-sized business tablet could be one of the new ways for Samsung to try and revive its slowing fortunes, as the company has recently struggled with a slump in the mobile device market and competition from Chinese vendors.

The Galaxy View could prove a nice companion for the upcoming Galaxy S7 smartphone, development of which has reportedly been greatly accelerated as Samsung looks to jump ahead of its great rival Apple.

It could also be linked to images leaked last month on to Chinese social media site Weibo, which appeared to show a new Samsung device which is able to fold in two to be carried around, with screens on both sides.

The device, which has apparently been in development for more than a year, is codenamed ‘Project Valley’.
