Nvidia Brings Pascal Quatro Graphics To Dell, Lenovo, And HPMobile Workstations

Nvidia has teamed up with a clutch of PC makers to produce mobile workstations that make use of its latest Quadro business-grade graphics cards.

The graphics giant is boasting the addition of its latest Pascal architecture GPUs provide up to three times the power, twice the memory and almost double the compute power of previous generations.

Pascal power on the move

Mobile stations with a solid dollop of graphical grunt should provide users with working on projects and tasks that require plenty of pixel crunching, such a video and photo editing and working with CAD software, the means to do so while out of the office.

To bring the new batch of Quadro GPUs to the business world and creative professionals, Nvidia has Dell, HP Inc, Lenovo, Fujitsu and MSI on-board to create workstations loaded with Pascal-based GPUs.

The five PC makers are logical partners given they all produce enterprise-grade mobile workstations and have tapped into Nvidia’s graphical prowess in the past.

The Pascal Quatro graphics cards are set to make their debut in Dell’s new Workstation 5720 AIO all-in-one desktop computer as well as its new mobile workstation, the Precision 7720, both of which were revealed at CES 2017 as part of Dell’s stance than the PC market is very much alive and kicking rather than dead like many tech industry watchers have predicted.

While workstation and gaming grade graphics cards are the bread and  butter of Nvidia’s business, the company is also providing hardware and software to support driverless car development including its new Xavier supercomputer, which has been designed to power an artificial intelligence co-pilot to assist drivers in connected and near-autonomous cars.
