iOS 9.2 Fixes Bugs, Improves Apple Music

iOS 9.2 is now available to download for compatible iPhone and iPad devices, bringing a raft of improvements to Apple Music and fixing a number of bugs.

The latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system makes it easier to make playlists, save songs offline and browse classical music as well as a new top stories section on Apple News.

The update also adds Mail Drop, which lets users send attachments up to 5GB in size, as well as Force Touch support for iBooks. The iPhone now also supports the USB Camera Adapter accessory, which facilitates the transfer of images from a camera to a phone without need for a Mac or PC.

Safari, Podcast Calendar, Contacts and Health apps have all been made more stable and Apple has fixed an issue that caused mail attachments to be inaccessible for some POP users.

iOS 9 went live in September and can be downloaded by iPhone 4S or later, the iPad 2 or later and the iPad mini or later. It added multi-tasking capabilities for newer iPad models, improvements to standard applications and a more intelligent Siri.

It also added Apple News, a news aggregator, which recently launched in the UK. Apple Music debuted in June marking the company’s long-awaited entry into the streaming market.

In its most recent set of results, Apple reported sales of 48 million iPhone units – a record figure for the fourth quarter – as revenues from smartphone sales reached £21.1 billion.
