Infographic: Dispelling The Myths Of Mobility

The world of IT is increasingly becoming mobile, with many firms keen to harness the benefits of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), the cloud and custom applications to improve productivity.

But research from FeedHenry, now part of Red Hat, last year found that just seven percent of enterprises that it spoke to had a fully developed mobility strategy with the majority saying they just developed apps on an ad-hoc basis.

The company says it has identified five major barriers to enterprise mobile app deployment and wants to help businesses implement mobility programmes by overcoming these barriers.

“Today’s technology allows for the swift creation of apps without vendor lock-in, says Cathal McGloin, former CEO of FeedHenry, now vice present Mobile Platforms at Red Hat. “Agile, open, collaborative and powerful cloud-based mobile application platforms render obsolete notions around lengthy and complex mobile app development and deployment.”

You can see Red Hat’s guide to dispelling these apparent myths about mobile development in the infographic below.
