Curiously advertised on the Play Store by the means of former The Apprentice candidate Alex Epstein ranting about secretaries (“whether they’re ill, drinking coffee or just late, it really doesn’t matter anymore”), don’t let that put you off the idea of d2u Transcriber. Available on smartphones, this app claims to be “the world’s first fully integrated dictation and transcription system.” It’s certainly a handy service to have whilst on the go, but there’s a bit of a catch – much of d2u’s business is done via subscriptions, which you’ll need to stump up for after just the 5-minute trial if you want to use their service.
