LG G4 ‘Will Be Most Powerful Smartphone Yet’

LG’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the LG G4, looks set to be one of the most powerful handsets on the market, according to a leaked report purporting to detail its hardware.

Information obtained by Greek website Techmaniacs shows that the LG G4 will feature top of the line hardware, being powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM and running Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The device’s camera will also receive a significant upgrade, with a system dump display (pictured below) appearing to show a 16MP rear camera in the LG G4, a major improvement from its predecessor, which featured a 13MP lens.

The LG G4, which could possibly see the light of day at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March, will come with a 5.3in Quad HD screen packing 2K resolution, meaning a slightly smaller display but one that packs in incredible levels of detail.

LG’s G3 was released last May, and won wide plaudits as one of the top Android smartphones on the market.

The company has made major strides in the smartphone market over the last couple of years, placing itself alongside the likes of other leading Android manufacturers such as Samsung and Sony.

At the CES show in Las Vegas last week, LG unveiled the G Flex 2, the second iteration of its curved-screen handset, which also includes a of the specifications rumoured to be present in the G4, including the Snapdragon 810 processor and Android 5.0.
