HP EliteBook 1030 Targets Workplace With Power, Style And Battery Life
All-day battery life makes HP’s new EliteBook a powerful big-screen working companion
HP Inc is continuing its push to cement its place as the world’s leading workplace PC manufacturer with the release of another powerful, yet mobile notebook in the EliteBook range.
The EliteBook 1030 features a 13.3 inch QHD display and sixth generation Intel Core M processor, but HP is eager to ensure everyone pays attention to it design qualities.
Described as “spectacular from every angle”, the EliteBook 1030 features a diamond-cut all metal design that is able to cope with bumps and scrapes when out and about, with the screen made of Gorilla Glass, but weighs just 1.15kg.
Power up
The Intel Core M ‘Skylake’ processor is up to 20 percent faster than the previous generation and is backed up by achoice of up to 16GB RAM and up to 512 GB of storage
The power comes from a four-cell 40 WHr battery which HP says offers up to 13 hours of battery life – 40 percent longer than its smaller brother, the EliteBook 1020, and is also quieter thanks to a special fanless design.
As for connectivity, the EliteBook 1030 comes with two USB 3.0 charging ports, one USB-C charging port and HDMI video output, alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.
The EliteBook 1030 comes with Windows 10 Pro installed, alongside specialised security and manageability tools from HP including its Client Security, HP Sure Start with Dynamic Protection and HP Touchpoint Manager.
There’s also impressive video and audio capabilities, as alongside a 720p HD webcam, HP has once again teamed up with Band & Olufsen alongside its own HP Noise Cancellation Software and HP Clear Sound Amp for greater audio and video collaboration.
The EliteBook 1030 will be available in the UK from June 1 for £1,000.
