Apple could be set to launch a more affordable version of the iPhone 6, according to reports from the US.
Phone site Future Supplier has obtained images of what it says is the rear cover of a supposed ‘iPhone 6C’, seemingly confirming that Apple is looking to release further devices in the iPhone 6 family.
The luminous pink cover seems to show off a 4in display, making it a similar build to the iPhone 5C.
Released in September 2013, the iPhone 5C, featuring a range of coloured back panels, is credited with opening up the iPhone to consumers who otherwise would not have been able to afford the device, despite being outsold three to one in the UK by its bigger brother, the iPhone 5S.
Following the huge success of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus since their launch last September, there have been rumours that Apple would release further devices, including an iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
The images show several differences between the iPhone 5C and the new device, however. This includes an oval-shaped camera flash on the rear of the device, which is round on the iPhone 5C.
There are also two sets of speaker holes on the bottom whilst the iPhone 5C only has one set.
