HTC has bolstered its mid-range smartphone family with the release of another new Desire device.
The Desire 626 is the successor to the popular Desire 620 handset, and features some useful hardware as it looks to take on the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Mini and Motorola’s Moto G.
The 135g device features a 5.0in HD display with 720p resolution, and runs Android Lollipop 5.1 alongside HTC’s own Sense UI.
There’s also a 2,000mAh battery that HTC says will give you up to 30 hours life on talk time, as well as a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front lens that can both capture 1080p video. The latter also includes HTC’s Eye Experience, which allows you to refocus your photos after taking them to bring out the best in your shots.
“Our new HTC Desire 626 is designed to give you the most customised personal user experience. Packed full of advanced features, we are delivering the very best in terms of personalised design and performance, as well as great value, to our customers,” said Peter Frølund, HTC’s general manager for UK and Ireland.
The HTC Desire 626 comes in four different colour schemes, and will be available from both O2 and 3, as well as Carphone Warehouse.
