EE Launches Low Cost CAT4 LTE Harrier Tab Tablet
EE releases its latest own-branded device for consumers and businses, the EE Harrier tab
EE has launched its latest own-branded device, the EE Harrier Tab, a low cost tablet targeted at consumers and businesses.
The Harrier Tab costs £199.99 on a pay as you go basis, but is free to customers who take a two-year plan with a 10GB data allowance costing £18 per month. The device features LTE CAT 4 technology, which allows for “real world” speeds of up to 60Mbps using EE’s double speed 4G service.

Similar in style to the Harrier and Harrier Mini smartphones released by the operator earlier this year, the Harrier Tab is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded.
The tablet is pitched as a capable multimedia hub with an eight inch display, eight megapixel rear facing camera and two megapixel front facing camera, and runs Android 5.1.
“Like its smaller siblings, we’ve made sure the Harrier Tab features an impressive spec at an easily affordable price point for consumers and businesses alike,” said Sharon Meadows, director of devices at EE. “When paired with our superfast 4G network, it really does offer one of the best tablet experiences on the market and is the ideal device for work, study or downtime.”
Last week the company showed off its 4GEE Action Camera, claiming the biggest trend it was seeing on its network was customer using multiple devices. CEO Olaf Swantee outlined the company’s vision of launching products for the connected business, home and car but said the biggest opportunity at present was “connected you” – individuals adding more than one device to a tariff.
