4. Samsung Galaxy S5 Active – £500
The Galaxy S5 is Samsung’s more rugged offering of the popular S5.
The S5 Active is weightier, chunkier and a lot more ‘offroad’ looking, with plastic corner bumpers on the corners to protect it from knocks and drops.
The S5 Active has physically bigger buttons to make it easier to operate with cold, wet, hands or while wearing gloves. It also boasts a MIL-spec 810G rating, which means it meets military standards and can handle extremes of temperature, humidity, and altitude.
