The IT Leaders Forum: Journey to the private cloud

The forum will begin with Roy Illsley, Principal Analyst at Ovum who will review the markets and current trends of Private Cloud.

Roy will address questions like:
• Private cloud adoption – how far along the curve are we?
• The drivers behind moves to the private cloud.
• What advantages do private cloud datacentres bring?

At 10am we will hear from a company which has adopted a private cloud. This case study will illustrate their experiences and the challenges they faced.
Last on the agenda, before brunch and networking, is a panel discussion which will focus on developing a long term cloud vision and reflect on the morning’s presentations. Our panel of experts will also answer delegate questions and share their views on:
• The benefits of a private cloud against its public cousin and virtualisation.
• How a private cloud infrastructure can help with your big data strategy
• The long term vision for the cloud.
