Breakfast Debate:"Cloud Computing: An IT Revolution, or a Rebranding of Old Ideas with a New Price Tag?"

This event requires registration: http://www.4cassociates.com/thought-leaders/upcoming-events.aspx

Be part of this debate – come and have a working breakfast with 4C and smell the coffee!

The debate will take place on Tuesday the 15th May between 8.30am – 9.30am, on the 32nd floor of the iconic Paramount Centre Point. Breakfast will be provided.

About the speakers:
Rob Lees, Managing Partner at 4C, has managed many IT departments and developments over the years, and proposes that there is nothing new under the sun. Cloud simply rehashes the same old techniques, good and more importantly bad, and gives them a gloss they don’t deserve. Worse, by marketing the cloud, IT vendors increase costs and reduce the value available from information systems.

Andy Langley has delivered leading-edge IT solutions to many corporate clients in the Telecoms, Media and FMCG industries. He will argue that cloud and associated technologies provide rapidly-deployable, customer-intimate, value-driven and above all cheap, reliable and useful information systems.

This event is one of a series of debates which 4C will be hosting on a monthly basis. Future debate topics include E-Auctions on Tuesday 19th of June and Procurement Savings on Tuesday 17th July.
