Geeksphone’s New Wearable Tracks Your Performance In More Ways Than Ever

Fitness fanatics will now be able to measure their progress all day and night thanks to a new wearable from Geeksphone.

The Spanish OEM, probably most well-known for its security-conscious Blackphone mobile device and dual-OS Geeksphone Revolution smartphone, has teased a wearable tracker called GeeksMe, which will feature a circular, monochrome OLED display with 12 bi-color LEDS around, according to TechCrunch.

What makes the device stand out, however, is that alongside traditional fitness measurements such as steps, calories and sleep monitoring, GeeksMe offers a few unique modes, firstly “ecological footprint” tracking for the environmentally conscious, but also a sex tracking service for those worried about their performance after dark.

Up all night

“Sexual activity is also part of a healthy lifestyle,” the Geeksphone website points out. “Know your performance and track your progress.”

As it is not based on any particular sensory detection, the X-rated mode will need to be manually activated each time the user wants to track their progress (so to speak).

“It’s not based on heart rate. But it will have a special mode (similar to sleep mode) that once it’s activated will measure things like number of times a day/week, duration, calories burned, and other very useful information based on different algorithms we are developing,” said Ángel Sánchez Díaz, director of innovation on the GeeksMe team.

“It will help users to have a healthier lifestyle, monitoring different values and statistics when practicing sex.”

Meanwhile, the eco-tracking mode will hook up to a Bluetooth-linked smartphone to monitor data on GPS location and daily fitness activity alongside additional information added manually by the user such as recycling, food and water consumption.

Although there were no concrete details revealed, this seems to point towards gamification of aiming to get users to reduce their carbon footprint.

Geeksphone is hoping to release GeeksMe in the early summer, meaning we may even catch a glimpse of it at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in a few weeks.
