Pure Storage Gets SAP HANA Certification

Solid-state array vendor Pure Storage is now certified for HANA by SAP, with its FlashArray 400 product passing the German software maker’s benchmarks.

The certification enables Pure Storage to participate in SAP’s program for SAP HANA tailored data centre integration using its products.

IDC praised the move, claiming that products such as the FlashArray 400 give “customers the option to deploy high performance flash arrays with confidence.”

Eric Burgener, a research director at IDC, said: “SAP HANA is seeing rapid adoption among customers looking to handle both high transaction rates and complex query processing on the same platform. Performance is critical in these environments.”

IPO

Earlier this month Pure Storage reportedly hired underwriters to help with valuing the company for its initial public offering.

pure storageA source told Reuters that investment banks Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Barclays were currently involved. In April 2014, Pure Storage was valued at $3 billion.

In March, whilst not disclosing sales figures, Pure Storage said that it has increased its revenue by 300 percent for the year ending January 2015.

CEO Scott Dietzen said: “Our success this past year is the result of the business transformation we provide customers – making them faster, more efficient and more effective, while simultaneously cutting costs.”
