NTT Com Goes With Dell Cloud Partner Program
NTT Com cloud will now be offered up to Dell customers in power play for Europe
NTT Communications has signed up to Dell’s Cloud Service partner program, meaning the Japanese firm’s self-managed enterprise cloud solution will be sucked up into Dell’s branded cloud services and made available to Dell customers.
Nick Hyner, cloud director for EMEA at Dell, said: “Partnering with NTT is a good strategic move for us, as it allows our customers to quickly tap into emerging markets and reap the benefits of a truly global cloud service. NTT will complement our Cloud Services Partner Program with its vertical expertise and extensive capability to manage a range of Cloud Infrastructure and Applications, along with its significant geographic reach.”
Earlier this month, NTT Communications agreed to buy German data centre provider e-shelter for €742m (£539m).
NTT will acquire 86.7 percent of the German provider’s shares. The acquisition will place the NTT Com group into the number three three position for data centre space in Europe, the firm said.
Europe
In today’s press release, NTT highlighted that the partnership with Dell will be “particularly suited to European organisations”, further making light of the intensifying battle for cloud across the continent.
NTT Enterprise Cloud spans data centres in 13 cities across 10 countries and 3 continents, alongside a broader network and data centre presence spanning 196 countries.
