Microsoft Azure Embraces Rackspace’s Fanatical Support

Microsoft has partnered with Rackspace to offer users of its Azure cloud computing platform the assistance of Rackspace’s Fanatical Support.

Cloud manager Rackspace will now be on hand to help cloud newbies deploy cloud solutions with Azure, with engineers providing application and infrastructure architecture guidance, at a price mind you.

Enterprises

“Today, we proudly launched Fanatical Support for Azure, a public cloud platform that’s becoming increasingly popular with enterprises,” said Rackspace CEO Taylor Rhodes in a blog post today.

“Azure is powerful, but like all cloud technologies, it can be complex and is constantly evolving. Our hundreds of Microsoft certified professionals can help you deploy applications on Azure faster, tap its potential to the fullest and do so at a lower total cost than if you hired the technical talent to manage it yourself.”

The partnership is clearly part of Azure’s plan to get closer with enterprises who want to use public cloud, a space in which Amazon Web Services (AWS) maintains the highest revenue and market share.

With backing from Rackspace’s Fanatical Support division, businesses may be lured into using Azure over a services such as AWS, knowing they can pay for the extra help.

“Fanatical Support for Azure and Azure Stack adds Rackspace’s industry-leading support to Microsoft’s deep experience with the hybrid cloud, creating a win-win for customers,” said Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group. “With this relationship, our mutual customers will have even more options for migrating their diverse IT workloads to the cloud.”
